Directions to Marblehead Massachusetts from
Massachusetts Turnpike, Rt. 128 - Points West & South
Heading north, Interstate 95 and Route 128 will split up, with Route 95 veering right. Stay left on Route 128 North and get off at Exit 25A. Coming off the exit ramp, get into the left lane and continue to follow all road signs for Route 114 East towards Salem and Marblehead.
As you enter the main intersection in downtown Salem (Riley Plaza) you will see a Dunkin Donuts on your left and the Post Office over your right shoulder. Get into the right hand lane and take a right as you continue to follow all signs for Route 114 East and Marblehead. After taking right, get into the left hand lane and take a left at the next set of lights, again following signs for Rt. 114 East.
After about one mile you'll come to a set of lights with Salem State College (a large gold brick building) right in front of you. Get in the left hand lane and continue straight on Route 114 into Marblehead. After you enter Marblehead you will head straight through three set of lights. At the fourth set of lights take a right onto Smith St. and at the end of Smith St., take a right onto Atlantic Ave (Route 129). At this point, Ticehurst Lane is a 1/2 mile down the road on your left.
Just before Ticehurst Lane you will see on your left first Adams Rd., then Greystone, then Cleveland Rd. Afterwards, as you see McKinley Road on your right, slow down. Ticehurst Lane is very easy to drive past. After Mckinley Road, you will see Lucia Road on your right. Across the street from Lucia Rd. is a small white and blue wooden sign and an uphill entrance for Ticehurst Lane.
If you should drive past Ticehurst Lane you will see Casino Rd immediately on your left, at which point you will have to turn around on Atlantic Ave. Ticehurst is a one way lane and can only be entered from Atlantic Avenue.
Once you are on Ticehurst Lane, Arbor House Bed and Breakfast is the fifth house on the left - 28 Ticehurst - a large house with natural shingles and green trim. Directly across from us is a small pond. As you look at the front of the house, the door to the bed and breakfast is on the far left with parking immediately in front. At the moment that you see the house, you may have to back up ever so slightly so as to park in front of your room.
