Once you are on Ticehurst Lane, Arbor House Bed and Breakfast is the fifth house on the left - 28 Ticehurst - a large house with natural shingles and green trim. Directly across from us is a small pond. As you look at the house, the bed and breakfast is on the far left with parking immediately in front.
From downtown Marblehead
Get on Atlantic Avenue heading West towards Swampscott. After you go through the traffic light at Ocean Ave, Atlantic Avenue also becomes known as Route 129 West and at this point Ticehurst Lane is 7/10 of a mile down the road on your left. Just before Ticehurst Lane you will see on your left first Adams Rd., then Greystone, then Cleveland Rd. Afterwards, as you see McKinley Road on your right, slow down. Ticehurst Lane is very easy to drive past. On your left, diagonally across the street from Lucia Road, is a small white and blue wooden sign and an uphill entrance for Ticehurst Lane.
If you pass Ticehurst Lane, you will see Casino Rd immediately on your left, at which point you will have to turn around on Atlantic Ave. Ticehurst is a one way lane and can only be entered from Atlantic Avenue.
From Boston / Logan Airport
Take Route 1A North through Revere into Lynn. Stay on Route 1A over the General Edwards bridge. You will want to get in middle or right hand lanes on Route 1A and prepare to follow signs for Route 129 East which will take you towards the water and away from downtown Lynn.
Following Route 129 East you will come to a rotary. Do not take the first right off the rotary (which would take you to Nahant) but proceed half way around the rotary and continue straight on Route 129 East, keeping the water on your right. Route 129 will continue approximately 5 miles, through Swampscott and into Marblehead.
After you enter Marblehead, Route 129 becomes Atlantic Avenue and once you go through the first traffic light, Ticehurst Lane is 1/2 mile down the road on the right. The streets you will pass on the right just before Ticehurst Lane will be first Clifton Heights, then Crown Way, then Casino Road.
Once you see Casino Rd, don't blink. Ticehurst Lane is immediately afterwards and is fairly easy to drive past. Look for a small white and blue wooden sign with a seagull and an uphill entrance. If by chance you should pass Ticehurst you will see Cleveland Road or Greystone Road on your right. You will have to turn around as Ticehurst is a one way lane and can only be entered from Atlantic Avenue.
From Salem Massachusetts
Follow Route 114 East from Salem into Marblehead. Continue straight on Route 114 (now also Pleasant St.) through three sets of lights and then get into the right hand lane. At the fourth set of lights take a right onto Smith St. and at the end of Smith St., take a right onto Atlantic Ave (Route 129) heading west. Ticehurst Lane is a 1/2 mile down the road on your left.

Directions from Massachusetts Turnpike
Rt. 128 - Points West & South
Heading north, Interstate 95 and Route 128 will split up, with Route 95 veering right. Stay left on Route 128 North and get off at Exit 25A. Coming off the exit ramp, get into the left lane and continue to follow all road signs for Route 114 East towards Salem and Marblehead.
As you enter the main intersection in downtown Salem (Riley Plaza) you will see a Dunkin Donuts on your left and the Post Office over your right shoulder. Get into the right hand lane and take a right as you continue to follow all signs for Route 114 East and Marblehead. After taking right, get into the left hand lane and take a left at the next set of lights, again following signs for Rt. 114 East.
After about one mile you'll come to a set of lights with Salem State College (a large gold brick building) right in front of you. Get in the left hand lane and continue straight on Route 114 into Marblehead. After you enter Marblehead you will head straight through three set of lights. At the fourth set of lights take a right onto Smith St. and at the end of Smith St., take a right onto Atlantic Ave (Route 129). At this point, Ticehurst Lane is a 1/2 mile down the road on your left.

From New Hamphire, Maine and Points North
If you are coming from coastal New Hampshire or Maine, take Rt. 95 South to Exit 50, then follow Rt. 1 South until you come toRoute 114 East Peabody / Salem).
If you are coming from central New Hampshire or Vermont, take I-93 South to Route 128 North and then get off at Exit 25A, heading east on Route 114.
